NiMet predicts partly cloudy, sunny weather for Thursday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted partly cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Thursday morning.

NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Wednesday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 39 and 15 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

It added that there were chances of isolated thunderstorms over Makurdi, Mambilla Plateau and its environs during the afternoon and evening hours.

The agency predicted that the southern states would experience partly cloudy to cloudy morning over most parts of the inland cities with localised thunderstorms over Iseyin, Shaki, Akure, Oshogbo and Benin.

Others are Abakaliki, Enugu, Owerri, Delta, Warri and environs during the afternoon and evening hours.

It also predicted cloudy conditions Ewith chances of isolated thunderstorms over coastal cities of Yenagoa, Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and environs in the morning with isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours.

NiMet further predicted that the southern cities would have day and night temperatures in the range of 31 to 37 and 22 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, Northern states will experience partly cloudy to sunny conditions over most parts of the northern cities during the forecast period.

The agency also predicted that Northern states would experience day and night temperatures in the range of 38 to 41 and 17 to 28 degrees Celsius respectively.

Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are expected over the northern parts of the country, while most parts of the central cities are likely to be partly cloudy with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Makurdi, Mambilla Plateau and environs.

Isolated thunderstorms are probable over some parts of the southern cities within the next 24 hours, NiMet predicted.
