The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday recorded 169 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number in the country to 66,974.
The health agency disclosed the new figures in an update published Thursday night on its website.

The update indicated that 92 persons who had made full recovery from the disease were discharged on the day in review.
This brings the number of discharged persons to 62, 585.
According to the NCDC, “Our discharges today (Thursday) include 74 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.”
The number of fatalities remains 1,169 as no new death has been recorded in the past two days.
Meanwhile the disease control body said the 169 new cases were reported from 11 states and Abuja with Kaduna leading.
The details are as follows – Kaduna (74), FCT (42), Lagos (17), Kano (8), Ogun (6), Oyo (6), Rivers (6), Ekiti (3), Bauchi (3), Katsina (2), Delta (1) and Ondo (1).
