The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), confirmed 213 new COVID-19 cases bringing to 58,062, the total number of infections in the country.
It also announced that 49,606 have recovered from the disease as of Friday, Sept. 25.
According to the health body, Friday’s “cumulative discharged cases includes 364 recovered patients in Katsina State who were managed in the community.”
The NCDC disclosed all these in an update on its official Twitter account.
It said the total number of fatalities from the disease as of the day under review stood at 1,103 adding that “On the 23rd of September 2020, we erroneously reported 1 death in Bayelsa State.

Meanwhile, out of the fresh cases reported from 16 states and Abuja, Lagos and Plateau recorded the highest number of infection with 51cases each.
