Controversial media personality, Kemi Olunloyo is now soliciting for funds on social media to enable her perfect her bail conditions following a defamation law suit against her which landed her at the Port Harcourt prison.
Kemi’s minder who is now managing her social media account, sent out the message; begging her fans to donate to her legal expenses, as she’s said to be unable to raise the N1 million to perfect her bail conditions.
An account was also made available by Kemi’s minder where well-meaning Nigerians can donate their widows-might towards the cause but some Nigerians think it is a scam.
Kemi was whisked away by men of the Nigerian police Force who stormed her Ibadan home to pick her up on the 14th of March.
She was arrested and jailed after publishing an article on her blog accusing General Overseer of Salvation Ministries Pastor David Ibiyeomie of infidelity.
The investigative journalist was picked up after Pastor Ibiyeomie petitioned the police, claiming that she (Kemi) criminally defamed him by posting an article on her blog claiming he is an adulterer, a claim he said defamed his character.
On the 11th of April, a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt granted Kemi bail in the sum of N1 million but her bail conditions have still not been perfected.
