Justice Ademola voluntarily retires from the bench

Justice Adeniyi Ademola has tendered his letter of voluntary retirement from the bench of the Federal High Court.

He submitted the letter to the Office of the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday.

He, however, did not give any reason for his action.

The letter titled “Letter of voluntary retirement” reads:  “I hereby voluntarily retire from the bench of the Federal High Court with effect from December 6, 2017.”

It would be recalled that Ademola and his wife recently faced an-18-count charge of corruption and illegal possession of firearm.

They were however cleared as it was declared by the court that there was no concrete evidence to prove the allegations against them.

He was therefore recalled by the National Judicial Council, NJC, and has since returned to work on June 7.
