The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said it recorded 58 new COVID-19 infections across the country on Sunday, October 4.
The new cases, it said were reported from eight state and Abuja.
The highest figure of fresh infections,18, were recorded in Plateau state.

Meanwhile, the health agency said the total number of infections across the country as of Sunday, stood at 59345 while 50768 have been discharged.
It said 1113 deaths have so far resulted from the virus.
The new cases are reported as follows – Plateau (18), Lagos (15), Katsina (10), Ogun (5), Kaduna (4), Edo (3), Ekiti (1), FCT (1) and Ondo (1).
