Navy Hands Over 7 Suspects To NSCDC In Lagos

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Lagos command, said the Nigerian Navy has handed over to it seven suspected Premuim Motor Spirit, PMS, illegal dealers.

NSCDC Lagos command Spokesperson, Mrs. Kehinde Bada-Okoli, disclosed this to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to her, the suspects are all male.

Some of the items recovered from the suspects, she said, include, 80 drums of 250 litres of PMS and 100 empty drums of 250 litre, two 50 Horse Power (HP) outboard engines, one pumping machine and one 50 HP spare machine.

Bada-Okoli said the suspects would be handed over to the appropriate agency for further investigation and prosecution.

While assuring that the corps would not relent in carrying out its mandate of protecting critical infrastructure as well as lives and property in Lagos, the NSCDC spokesperson urged members of the public to assist the Corps and other security agencies with necessary information to rid the state of all forms of crimes.
