The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, has said the Air Task Force, ATF, of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has killed several terrorists members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, at their hideout near Baga in Northern Borno.
NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, made this known in a statement on Sunday in Abuja.
According to him, the operation was carried out on Saturday.

Daramola explained that the ATF had dispatched an Alpha Jet aircraft to attack the location after a NAF Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, ISR, platform spotted the terrorists assembled under some trees around the Fish Dam near Baga.
He said the aircraft multiple attacks killed several of the terrorists and caused serious injuries to others adding, “the surviving terrorists were mopped-up in subsequent follow on strikes.”
