The Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Moshood Salvador, has been remanded in prison over the death of the Chairman of the PDP in Apapa local government area of Lagos State, Adeniyi Aborishade.
Also remanded in prison were ten other persons in connection with the case.
They are: Kehinde Fasasi, Rotimi Kujore, Fatai Adele, Ismaila Abiola, Amos Fawole, Victoria Falowo, Mukaila Odukoya, Oropo Isaac, Mohammed Babangida and Ugochukwu Nwoke.
Chief Magistrate of the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Yaba, Oyetade Komolafe, ordered their detention when they were arraigned by the police.
They faced a two-count charge bordering conspiracy and unlawful killing.
The prosecuting police officer told the court that Aborishade was murdered at a “visitation meeting” at Igbosuku Village, Eti-Osa local government area of Lagos State.

According to him, Salvador and the others contravened the law and should be punished under sections 233 and 223 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The suspects have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.
The case was adjourned till August 27, 2018.
Aborishade was said to have been shot dead on Saturday at the PDP’s meeting which was held at Igbosuku Village, Eti Osa local government area, Lagos State.
According to the spokesman of the Lagos Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Mr. Chike Oti, the shooting followed a clash between two factions of the party.
The two factions, he said, were those of Moshood Salvador, a factional state chairman of the party, and Kehinde Fasasi, Eti-Osa local government chairman.
