Comrade Sheriff Mulade, a Niger Delta human and environmental rights activists, has condemned the raid on the residence of elder stateman, Chief Edwin K. Clark.
Mulade in a statement on Wednesday described the raid on the Abuja residence of Clark as a display of security rascality and attempt to silent the opposition.
Mulade said: “I want to strongly condemn the Tuesday raid on the Abuja residence of a foremost leader in the Niger Delta region and elder statesman, Pa E.K. Clark. Everything is wrong about the incident.

“I want to call on the security agencies to apply professionalism and carefully filter their information so as not to be misled by the so-called informants who are the real criminals hiding under security cover as informants.
“While we are accepting apology from the Inspector General of Police over the incident, the police boss should deal with all those involved in the matter to serve as deterrent to others. The raid is uncalled for and unacceptable to us.”
