Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City FC team are flying high this season. So far, they have drawn only one game and lost none out of nine games. The draw came away to Everton after playing most part of the game with 10 men.

When Guardiola signed to Man City last season, many expected that he would bring his magic to the English Premier League. City started brightly last season leading league winners Chelsea with nine points in the early stages. A few loses later, they were behind Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspurs.

Many pundits all agreed that although City played good football last season, they had a weak defense. The former Barcelona player and coach knew exactly what to do this season. He spent over 100 million pounds signing defenders alone.

Nine matches later, everyone can see the dividends of that. Unlike yesteryears,Man  City has conceded only four goals out of 10 games, scoring 32 goals, which has become a premier league record.

While their City rivals, Manchester United lost to newly promoted Huddersfield FC, Man  City saw off a stubborn Burnley at the Etihad stadium. Goals from Sergio Aguero, Nicolas Ortamendi and Leroy Sane saw them win 3-0.

Aguero scoring his 177 goal for Man City is now the joint-top scorer in Man City history with Eric Brook.

The blue half of Manchester is now five points clear of Manchester United. United on the other hand have Tottenham next and after, they would make a trip to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea on November 5.

With the way Man City are playing this season, anything short of wins for United in their next two games would be a disaster for their title bid. City may be declared winners of the EPL earlier than usual.
