The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, is to meet with Commissioners for Health in the five states affected by Lassa fever in the country.
The states are Ondo, Ebonyi, Edo, Nasarawa and Imo.
The intention is to get an update on the situation in their states.
This is ahead of the plan by the federal government to receive vaccine to stop the spread of Lassa fever in the country.
The minister made the intention to meet over the problem of Lassa fever known after the signing of a joint approval of the biennium WHO Programme Budget of 2018 to 2019 in Abuja.

He said the vaccine would come into the country before the end of the year to prevent the outbreak of the disease.
He said: “We are doing everything possible to fight and address the outbreak of Lassa fever on all fronts.”
