Kylian scored the four goals between the 61st and 74th minutes placing PSG at a win of 5-0 at Parc des Princes.
This is a record breaking feat for Mbappé and PSG team, as he became the “youngest player to score four goals in one game in Ligue 1 over the last 45 seasons” according to data-crunching Twitter account OptaJean.
“I should have scored more goals, it is part of the steps I have to go to get to the top. But at no time (have) I doubted. As long as an attacker creates opportunities, everything is fine. The most important thing is the work of a whole team and the record of the day,” Mbappe told Canal+.
“I will insist on the collective. We wanted to win and make history in this championship. We wanted this record. We have a new coach, a new philosophy, and we show that we can adapt. When we make the effort for each other, it makes the difference,” he said.
PSG manager, Thomas Tuchel commended his players and said they deserved it.
“There was a lot of confidence and an incredible state of mind. But I’m not surprised; I know they are capable of special things. They have played and worked as a team for a few weeks. It was really amazing. It is deserved.” Tuchel said.
