The Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi, has extended his condolences to the government, people and families of victims of attacks on three communities in Katsina State that claimed 47 lives.
The attack occurred on Saturday, April 18.
The Minister in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Mr. Osaigbovo Ehisienmen, in Abuja, on Monday, described the attack as senseless.
Expressing shock and sadness over the incident, Dingyadi further described the perpetrators of the attack as mindless criminals.

He lamented that the attack came at a time the world is battling with Covid-19 pandemic and government and responsive citizens committing resources, skills and comfort to save lives.
The Police Affairs Minister assured that the attackers would not go unpunished even as he reiterated government’s resolve and commitment to ending banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and all forms of violent crimes in the country.
The minister urged Nigerians to cooperate with the police in the effort to build a strong police/community partnership through community policing initiative.
He assured that those who perpetuate heinous crimes in various parts of the country would be arrested and dealt with accordingly.
