Two commanders of the terrorists group, Islamic State in West Africa, ISWA, have been arrested by the Department of State Services, DSS.
Identified as Bashiru Adamu and Rufai Sajo, they were arrested in Kukuntu Village, Gwagwalada, Abuja, according to a statement by spokesman of the DSS, Mr. Tony Opuiyo.
The men, according to Opuiyo, in the statement he issued on Thursday, were arrested onMay 5.
The statement revealed other arrests made.
One of such, it was revealed was the arrest of one Umar Dogo in Bauchi on April 28.
Umar is also suspected to be a member of ISWA.
The DSS said the suspects had planned to carry out attacks before they were arrested.
It was also disclosed that two persons discovered to be experts in Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) – Adamu Hassan (a.k.a. Bale) and Abubakar Abubakar (a.k.a. Alhaji or Buba) – were arrested.
Others arrested are: Mohammed Saleh (a.k.a. Azrak) and Iliyasu Abubakar (a.k.a. Ruwa).
They were arrested in April at Gassol and Ardo Local Government Areas of Taraba State.

Two members of the Basalube kidnap group were also arrested at Karu Village in Abuja.
One Tambaya Umar said to be very notorious was arrested on April 24 at Odigie Village in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo.
He was arrested with Ibrahim Ali, Abubakar Mohammed, Aliyu Manu and Umar Mohammed.
They were all said to be involved in the crimes committed by the group.
The DSS also arrested five members of a kidnap syndicate in Calabar.
The suspects are Simeon Paul, Emmanuel Etim, Eric Out, Famous Oleke and Felix Eshet.
Some associates of Terwase Akwasa, another notorious kidnap kingpin popularly known as Ghana, were also arrested at various locations in Benue.
Vehicles and arms were recovered at different points by the DSS in the course of their operations.
