Fam, I’m writing to you from a place of tiredness and boredom. I’m still on my journey to secure the man of my dreams, but my old situationships  are getting in the way.

It kinda seems it’s in the murky waters! I jokingly call them ‘situationships’ because that’s what they are exactly and they are stressing me out! I know it’s funny to say, considering the fact that I put myself there, right?

I have been saying I’m in ‘situationships’ for a while now; without even knowing it was the real thing until I checked online. Let me educate y’all a bit. A situationship is basically a pseudo-relationship. A placebo masking itself as a formative relationship. It smells like a relationship, it sorta looks like a relationship, and it may even feel like one, but it’s not.

See my life outside! As I read on I realized that I am in way too many of those! Ladies and Gents, come and take your sub o, because you may be in a situationship or two.

It’s like I woke up from my slumber and I don’t know what dating is like again. Do people still say, “Will you be my girlfriend?” When does one progress from talking to relationship? Because these situationships have gotten a girl confused, yo! When do you know you’re the main girl? For real, I want to know. Is there anything like being the only real deal with men of this generation?

Let me break down  my situationships for you. Please reserve your judgments on this matter o though I really don’t care, sha. Lol!

First, there’s a Mr. K. There’s a lot of emotional support there, a lot of monkey business going on and no definition to the situation. We both like ourselves but no one is committing. This one mirrors a relationship the most because we share a lot about our lives but no one is ready to say what it is.

Then comes Mr. A who has the whole ‘grown-man-thing-I-want-to-wife-you’ type vibe down but isn’t saying what’s up still. A girl is already catching feelings and he is still not telling me how far. Oga, speak up! I’m naming our babies over here in my head! Lol.

Don’t forget the Ex (there’s always an ex ) who wants to come back and is coming correct this time but you’re still not sure if you want to send him back to the wild because he’s old D like they say. You know it, it’s comfortable. So we’re talking and talking and yet not quite sure where we stand. What do we even call this one?

I won’t even mention all the other ones that I’m ‘talking’ to, where you chat with, occasionally see and you both know what’s on the other person’s mind but again no one wants to call a spade a spade and let’s move on.

My question now is ‘Who send me work?’ It is stressing me out! Do I dismiss all of them or define things? But what happens if I don’t want to define things and also wanna talk? What happens then, please? Are my village people at work? I really need someone I can own and sleep, wake up and he is there like the rock of Gibraltar! I want to transit from a situationship to a relationship. What’s stopping me? I can’t just fathom.

Honestly, sometimes this single life can be burdensome. Do you know the worst part? When you need a man to be YOUR MAN, NONE of them shows up! You’re single again or were you even in a relationship? It’s annoying! Throw the whole situationship away, jor. I’m tired.

Till next time, get out of your situationships y’all. Toodles!

PS: I can’t be the only one, tell me about your situationship in the comments and let’s decide what to do together o. Shame the devil and speak up, lol.
