Gunmen have attacked the P&F Filling Station, Nnokwa in the Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing two persons on the spot.

The incident happened on Saturday at the filling station, close to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Nnokwa.

It was gathered that the gunmen shot the manager of the filling station, identified simply as Marvelous, and his friend, also identified as Richard.

The reason for the attack was still unknown as of the time of filing this report, but an eyewitness said, both men went to buy food to eat before they met their death.

The eyewitness said, “Tears rolled down at Nnokwa this morning as both men were gunned down by unknown gunmen. The manager of the filling station always sold diesel every Monday sit-at-home.”

A video of the incident has circulated in the social media, where a man was lying in a pool of blood with bullet-ridden head.

Calls made to the phone line of the state police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, for official confirmation, were not picked and text messages sent to his phone were not also responded to as of the time of filing this report. (The Punch)
