Gunmen dressed in Police uniform have kidnapped the wife of the Managing Director of Nigeria Railway Corporation, Mrs. Francisca Okhiria.
The incident was confirmed by the Police in Benin on Wednesday.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, the gunmen trailed Mrs. Okhiria from the airport and abducted her at Irhirhi along NNPC filling station in Oredo local government.
She was on her way to her house.
“It is confirmed that she was kidnapped and the Police have recovered her vehicle — a Land Cruiser Prado jeep.
“The Army sergeant shot by the hoodlums was her security personnel, and has been taken to the military hospital by the Police.
“The gunmen came in a Toyota Camry,” the Police PRO said.
