Former part time lecturer at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Dr. Afeez Baruwa, has been sentenced to 21 years imprisonment by an Ikeja High Court for raping an 18-year-old girl seeking for admission.
Baruwa was charged with one-count charge of rape.
During his trial, Baruwa conceded having consensual sexual intercourse with the teenager, but denied raping her.
According to him, he thought the girl was aged 23 years or 24 years before the incident happened.
