Veteran Coach, Danladi Abubakar Nasidi (Alala) is dead.

He passed on in the early hours of Wednesday after a brief illness.

Until his demise, Nasidi was the Head Coach of National U 15 Team of Nigeria.

Before becoming the Head Coach of National U 15 Team of Nigeria, Nasidi (a CAF A Licence Holder) was Assistant Coach of Super Falcons of Nigeria to Women’s World Cup USA ’99.

He coached Stationary Stores of Lagos and rescued the team from Relegation in 1994.

He served as the head Coach of Gabon National Team in 1986, and also managed Niger Tornadoes on several occasions.

In his condolence message, the Chairman Niger Tornadoes FC Hon. Adamu Aliyu, on behalf of the Management, Coaches and Players commiserated with the family of Nasidi, the State Football Association (NSFA) and all Critical Football Stakeholders within and outside the State over the death.

The Chairman said, Late Coach Danladi Nasidi, had distinguished himself in his choice profession, doing the State proud in the process.

He described Nasidi’s death as a great loss not only to the family but the State and Nigeria as a whole.

Hon. Adamu Aliyu prayed Allah S.W.T to repose his soul in perfect peace and grant the entire Family (especially, Abdulrasheed Nasidi who plays for Niger Tornadoes) the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
