Elon Musk on Thursday blasted Donald Trump, saying the US president would have lost the election without his support, the Next Edition reports.
“Without me, Trump would have lost the election,” Musk said on X. “Such ingratitude.”
The feud between Musk and Trump, which is on going began in early June, 2025, when Musk publicly denounced Trump’s flagship bill, describing it as “One Big Beautiful Bill,” adding that the bill was “disgusting abomination” due to its massive cost and sharp cuts to electric vehicle (EV) and solar incentives.
According to reports, the elimination of clean-energy tax credits would directly impact Musk’s core businesses (Tesla, SolarCity) prompting a very public clash.
Before the recent clash, Musk was a political ally and donated heavily to Trump, he led the “Department of Government Efficiency,” and even had a White House advisory role. But the alliance unraveled after Musk left that role in May 2025.
