Lagos State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mohammed Momoh, has warned the 13,637 corps members mobilised as ad-hoc staff for the general elections, not to accept food items and gifts from politicians and the electorates.
Mr. Momoh advised the corps members to, “Pack snacks, water and lunch during the elections; refresh on all training materials and manuals and follow the correct electoral process.”
Addressing corps members during a sensitisation exercise at the Ikeja Local Government secretariat, Momoh charged the corps members to reinvent the performance that has given credence and credibility to elections in the country.

He enjoined them to be properly kitted with genuine means of identification to avoid people that might want to impersonate corps members.
According to him, “Your job is to do what you are told in the right way. Ensure that you work in conformity with the way you have been trained and instructed. If you engage in sharp practices you will not be saved by the scheme.”
