Leader of the Hausa community in Benue State, has called on his Muslim faithful to adhere strictly to the Covid-19 laid down procedures during and after the Eid-el-Kabir.

Sarkin Hausawa, Alhaji Rayyanu Sanganmi, stated this while speaking to our correspondent on phone, in Makurdi.

In a Sallah message, Rayyanu cautioned the youth to desist from engaging in any form of violence during this period and beyond.

According to him, “even though we are going to the Mosque, we are going to ensure that people observe all Safety protocols on Covid-19.

“We are not going to celebrate as we used to do it in the past. As we pray in the Mosque, we will provide water for everyone to wash their hands, sanitizers and enforce the use of face masks.”

He advised the youths to shun all forms of violence and celebrate peacefully.
