COVID-19: Oyo Discharges 9 Patients, Records 34 New Cases

Oyo State has discharged nine COVID-19 patients from the isolation centre after they tested negative for the virus twice.

Governor Seyi Makinde made the disclosure on his Twitter handle on Saturday night.

He said the nine discharges have brought the number of recoveries in the state to 58.

Meanwhile, the state recorded 34 new cases of the virus on Saturday, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, thus bringing the total number of cases in the state to 233.

Makinde stated that 27 out of the new cases were from iSON Xperiences, a company located in Dugbe area of Ibadan.

He urged residents with any symptoms of COVID-19 such as cough, fever, tiredness, body ache and shortness of breath to call the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) numbers.

He gave the numbers as 08095394000, 08095863000, 08078288999 and 08078288800.
