The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria is now 57,145.
This followed the confirmation of 189 new infections on Saturday by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
According to the health agency, the new infections were reported from 14 states and Abuja with Lagos posting the highest figure, 70, followed by Plateau and FCT with 37 and 24 respectively.
Other states that recorded fresh infections on the day under review are; Kaduna (19), Rivers (12), Oyo (5), Ogun (4), Ebonyi (3), Katsina (3), Ondo (3), Osun (3), Imo (2), Yobe (2), Ekiti (1), and Nasarawa (1).
The health agency also reported one death raising the total number of fatalities across the country to 1,095 as of Saturday night.

The NCDC further reported that the number of persons who have made full recovery from the disease rose to 48,431 on Saturday.
