Nigeria on Monday recorded 575 new COVID-19 cases bringing the total number of infections in the country to 29,286.
The new cases were reported from 19 states and the Federal Capital.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), which announced the cases said also that a total of 11,828 patients have been discharged across the country following treatment and recovery, while 654 deaths have been reported.
Lagos recorded the highest number of new cases on Monday with 123 cases while Abuja followed with 100 cases.

Meanwhile, the health body on Monday confirmed five cases of COVID-19 in Cross River, the last of the states to report infections.
Details of the new infections are as follows:
Lagos-123, FCT-100, Delta-58, Edo-52, Ogun-42, Katsina-24, Bayelsa-23, Rivers-22, Borno-19, Plateau-18, Ondo-18, Oyo-17, Kwara-15, Osun-13, Enugu-9, Nasarawa-7, Abia-6, Cross River-5, Kaduna-3 and Ekiti -1.
