The Katsina State Government has directed civil servants to stay at home on Friday as part of measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the state.
This was announced by the Head of Civil Service in the state, Idris Usman-Tune, on Thursday in Katsina.
Usman-Tune, while addressing newsmen said that the government would review the situation in the next two days before announcing the next line of action.

“On Sunday, we will also give another announcement on that effect, so that observation will determine what government will inform workers,” he said.
Usman-Tune further advised workers to stay away from unnecessary gatherings and desist from shaking hands with people as prevention to contracting the disease.
He also enjoined workers to ensure that they wash their hands regularly with soap under running water, use hand sanitisers and imbibe the habit of environmental and personal hygiene at all times.
