The woman at the centre of the much rumored second marriage of President Muhammadu Buhari, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq, has denied any romantic attachments with the President.

The social media has been awash with news of the marriage between the two.

The wedding Fatiha between the duo was rumored to have been fixed for Friday, October 11.
However, in a tweet on her personal handle, Farouq, who is the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, said that she has been a long time friend of Buhari and his wife, Aisha.

The tweet read: “There have been several speculations in media regarding Marriage between me and Baba Buhari. I will like to clarify this that me and Baba Buhari have been old time friends and Her Excellency Aisha is my good friend and a sister. I will like to maintain this relationship.”

Meanwhile, the Minister is currently out of the country on national assignment.
