President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to address Nigerians by 7p.m on Thursday, October 22.
This is coming more than two weeks after Nigerian youths took to the streets to protest and demand an end to police brutality and two days after security agents killed some of them in an unprovoked attack in Lagos.

A statement by the President’s spokesman, Femi Adesina said: “Following detailed briefing by security chiefs on the current situation in the country, President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 7pm.
“Television, radio and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria respectively for the broadcast.”
