He made his debut last week away to Chievo Verona.

Ronaldo had many shots on target in that game but failed to find the net as the game ended 3-2 in favour of the defending champions.

Juventus players knew that they had a tough game in their hands against a Lazio side that lost the first game of the season 2 – 1 to Napoli.

Losing the first of the season is a very bad way to start a difficult league like the Serie A.

The game started with Lazio dominating possession.

With quick passes in the midfield between Lucas and Parolo, the Juve players were easily outclassed.

As the game wore on, Miralem Pjianic began to gain control of the midfield.

He broke the deadlock for Juventus in by placing the ball in the right corner of the goal post.

Ronaldo who is regarded as the best player in the world found it difficult to register a single shot on target in the first half.

In the second half, Emre Can was introduced in place of Pjianic.

Can’s introduction helped Ronaldo see more of the ball.

In the 70th minute, Ronaldo came close to scoring.

The rebound got to Mario Mandzukic and he wasted no time in putting it at the back of the net to make it 2-0.

Ronaldo who cut a frustrating look, took a shot from outside the 18 yard area but the goal keeper made a brilliant save and put the ball out.

Ronaldo will have to wait for two weeks to get his first goal as there will be an international break next weekend.
