Arsenal were unfortunate to play Manchester City in their opening game of the season as they have lost three points.

The English Premier League resumed on Friday with Manchester United defeating Leicester City by 2-1.

Fans of the EPL were excited by the start of the season.

However, the game on everyone’s mind was Arsenal vs Manchester City.

Man City are the defending champions having won the league title in a convincing fashion.

Before the game started, City were the favourites based on statistics but neutrals were rooting for Arsenal to cause an upset.

The game started with Man City as everyone expected.

Although the gunners were at home, the blues started dominating the game as soon as the referee blew the whistle.

As early as 13 minutes, Raheem Sterling who scored 23 goals last season opened the scoring sheet with a lovely strike.

He drove in and went past players easily before placing the ball in the bottom corner from outside the 18 yard box.

They were not done after the first goal.

In their usual style they continued to dominate the game.

They pressed forward searching for a second goal.

Arsenal came close in the 20th minute when Hector Belarin took a shot after moving past Benjamin Mendy but the City keeper was able to put the ball out.

The game later became intense in the first half as Arsenal began mounting pressure on City.

In the 63rd minute, Bernardo Silva scored another beautiful goal form City.

Another goal flashed past Petr Cech like the first one.

The second goal came when it looked like Arsenal would get an equalizer.

From there it was obvious that the game was far from Arsenal’s reach.

It put the steam out of their attack and City took over from there.

It was unfortunate for Unai Emery and his team to start their season by playing Manchester City in their first game.
