Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the election, Abba Kabir Yusuf, had gone to the tribunal to challenge the return of Ganduje as winner of the governorship election in the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

An aide of the Governor took to his twitter page @dawisu to congratulate his boss over his victory at the tribunal.

He noted that free and compulsory education has come to stay in Kano state by the tribunal’s judgement even as he attributed their victory to God being on their side.

His tweet read: “Free and compulsory education has come to stay in Kano State. Congratulation to the good people of Kano State.

Congratulations my Governor my boss H.E
“Our victory at the tribunal. It is indeed a confirmation that despite the barrage of insults and negativity from a select few, when God is on your side, nothing else matters & victory is assured.”
