Mr. Rollas on his Instagram page said the actor was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital, contrary to earlier reports.

He said, “What God cannot do does not exist. Junior Pope is alive. He is taking treatment in the hospital.”

The News Agency of Nigeria reported earlier that one Samuel Olatunji, a filmmaker, took to his Instagram page to disclose the demise of the actor with three others.

It was also reported that Junior Pope was with three others when the boat mishap reportedly happened on Anam River while going to a movie location.

In a video, the actor was seen in a speedboat without a life jacket complaining about the speed of the boat, urging the captain to “take it easy.”

In a trending video on X, formerly known as Twitter, a mortuary attendant was seen explaining that the actor was still alive.

The Next Edition wishes the actor a speedy recovery.
