In a letter to the education minister, Babalakin said the membership of the Visitation Panel was simply inappropriate in the circumstance, adding that their obvious agenda was to humiliate the governing council.

Earlier Friday, another member of the Governing Council, Mr. Bayo Adaralegbe, also resigned his appointment.

Adaralegbe tendered his resignation letter to the Education Minister on Friday. According to him, his continued stay as a member of the council will dishonour his late father, Prof. Adeniji Adaralegbe’s memory.

Although Dagari’s resignation is yet to be made public, Franktalknow.com, quoting a reliable source said that Dogari also resigned on Friday.

Dagari was a key player in the corruption investigation saga against the former vice chancellor of the university, Prof Toyin Ogundipe. He headed a Sub Committee that investigated the finances of the University under the ex vice chancellor.
