The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the Kogi governorship election.
He scored 406, 222 as against 189, 704 by his closest rival, Musa Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The Returning Officer for the Kogi Governorship Election, Prof. Ibrahim Garba, the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, therefore returned him winner having satisfied all the requirements of the law.
Bello is the incumbent governor of Kogi and by his victory, he has been handed a second term in office.
