The fifth season of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Lockdown reality show commenced on Sunday, July 19, after housemates spent over two weeks in quarantine in compliance with COVID-19 protocols.
Of all the 20 housemates who checked into the Big Brother House on Sunday, two of them trended for different reasons a few minutes after check-in. They are Olamilekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe and Dorathy Bachor.
Laycon who caused a stir during introduction by the host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was asked to explain what he meant by saying he was a sex enthusiast. Although he couldn’t really explain to the satisfaction of viewers, he said he enjoyed talking about sex and sex-related issues.
His explanation coupled with his looks got a lot of people talking about him on social media. Simply put, he dominated discourse on the show for several hours after its premiere.
Laycon was being trolled on social media until a fan brought in a different perspective into the discourse; saying that he was the best graduating student. “See how some housemate were condescending towards Laycon last night but dude is the ish! Best graduating student in Unilag 2016 department of Fine and applied arts. The BBnaija underdog don’t be fast to draw conclusions.”
However, his profile on BBNaija website indicates that he’s a “graduate of philosophy from the University of Lagos who started his musical journey at an early age and has now emerged as one of Nigeria’s most promising new school acts.”

It was after this explanation that fans started gravitating towards him again and for a while changed the viewers narrative about him.
Another housemate who also got a fair share of trolling was Dorathy Bachor, a 24-year-old entrepreneur from Lagos.
Fortunately, Dorathy believes she is the “only one who should make you smile,” her sassiness will definitely get people hooked to their screens.
Dorathy got all the attention because of her voluptuous boobs. Several unprintable things were said about her. But the more fans talk about her, the more she gets popular.
Moreover, she seems to fill calm in her own skin.
It is still the first week of the show as it progresses a lot more will be revealed as usual.
