Following the transfer saga that ensued between Liverpool and FC Barcelona over Philipe Coutinho, an end seems to have come to the chase of the Liverpool star.

The Merseyside club seems to have won their fight to keep their star mid-fielder at the club.

The Brazilian playmaker has been pursued by Barcelona this summer, with the Spanish giants identifying him as the ideal replacement for Neymar.

Coutinho has made it clear he wanted to move to the Nou Camp, having submitted a transfer request earlier this month.

But Liverpool have insisted they would not sell and had rejected three bids from Barca for their star player.
The latest bid rejected by Liverpool is worth about £114million.

Now, according to reports in Spain, Barca have ended their pursuit.

The LaLiga side are said to have accepted that Liverpool will not cash in on Coutinho and will not return with a fourth bid.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to keep hold of his star man but has work to do to reintegrate him into his squad.

Coutinho has yet to feature this season due to a supposed back injury and Klopp will hope he accepts the club’s stance and returns to his best form at Anfield.

However, it is now left for football lovers and Liverpool fans to watch if the re-integration will yield a fruitful result and bring Coutinho back to his superlative form for the Merseyside club.
