The Lagos State Government has sealed off the properties belonging to a suspected kingpin of the notorious Badoo cult group in Lagos, Kamal Abayomi Alaka.

The properties are a petrol filling station, hotel and an event centre along Ijebu-Ode-Itoikin Road in Sabo area of Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The properties were sealed off on Wednesday.

Alaka, it would be recalled, had been declared wanted in December, 2017, by the police over alleged involvement in a number of killings and other activities of Badoo cult in Lagos State.

Alaka who is said to be a leader in the cult has since gone into hiding.

Announcing the sealing off of the property, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lagos State, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, in a statement, said the order was in pursuant to Section 60 of the said Law.

The statement reads in part:  “The Lagos State Government is joining the Nigerian police in asking the said Alaka to come out of hiding and submit himself to the law in his own interest.

“The state government has also enjoined the police to offer the public a reward for any useful information on the owner of the Alaka filling station, hotel and event centre in Ikorodu.

“The government is once again asking its citizens to go about their businesses without fear. We will leave no stone unturned in keeping the State safe in 2018.”
