Issa-Onilu replaces Bolaji Abdullahi who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has a new National Publicity Secretary.

He is Lanre Issa-Onilu.

Issa-Onilu replaces Bolaji Abdullahi who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on August 1, 2018.

His appointment was ratified on Friday by APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.

Both Issa-Onilu and Abdullahi are from Kwara State.

Issa-Onilu contested for the post of the National Publicity Secretary of the party at the convention held in June, but lost to Abdullahi.

Yekini Nabena has since been acting as the National Publicity Secretary.

An Assistant Editor with ThisDay, Issa-Onilu is a Mass Communication graduate of the University of Lagos.

He holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University, US.

Issa-Onilu is an associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and an associate member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
