Alleged N1m theft: Air passenger caught, to be arraigned

A passenger caught on Saturday for allegedly stealing N1m aboard an Air Peace flight from Abuja to Lagos is to be arraigned on Monday.

The passenger who identified himself as Kunle Oni is said to be living in Port Harcourt.

He was alleged to have stolen the money belonging to two other passengers, Mr Olaniye and Mr Abubakar Jimoh in the flight to Lagos.

According to the spokesperson of the Lagos Airport Police Command, DSP Joseph Alabi, Oni was arrested by vigilant passengers and crew while he was stealing from the luggage aboard the flight.

He was handed over to the police command at the airport on arrival in Lagos.
