The commissioner said adequate security measures had been put in place by the government.

While he urged the traders to go about their lawful businesses without any fear, he warned that the government would not hesitate to shut it down if there is a violation of rules bordering on hygiene and security.

Ajibobi had on Friday visited the market for assessment.

He condemned the lawlessness of the butchers which led to loss of lives and property.
