Reports reaching us indicate that the police have taken over the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
Recall that two days ago, a team of security operatives sealed off the party’s office in the nation’s capital, on the orders of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
Today’s action is coming ahead of the virtual National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.
Two Toyota Hillux patrol vans and two Peugeot 604 cars have been reportedly positioned at strategic areas as early as 9a.m around the party headquarters in Abuja.
The Next Edition reported (Wednesday), President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval for Mr. Victor Giadom, Acting National Chairman of the APC, to organize a NEC meeting Thursday.
The APC has been thrown into leadership crisis since last week, following the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiohmole as the National Chairman and the endorsement of Giadom as the Acting National Chairman for two weeks by a court.
