Musicians, Adekunle Kosoko, who performs as “Adekunle Gold’ and his wife, Simisola Bolatiti Ogunleye, who performs as ‘Simi’, have given their fans a sneak peek into how they celebrated their wedding.
The couple had their secret marriage introduction ceremony in December 2018 and surprised their fans when they tied the knot traditionally on January 9, 2019 in a private wedding ceremony which had only 300 guests. The news came as a surprise to their fans as both singers have never expressly talked about their relationship prior to the wedding day.
The wedding ceremony was so private that pictures of the event hardly trickled out.
However, in a bid to share their best moment with their fans, the duo released a music video titled ‘Promise.’ The video showed scenes from their private wedding. The song was co-written by the couple and has got everyone talking.

Adekunle Gold also confirmed that they had been dating for five years.
The “Orente” singer disclosed this in a note he shared with his fans in an email announcing their union.
He said:
“Earlier in 2018, I asked my girl of five years to be my wife. Knowing all of my imperfections and shortcomings, she said yes!
“This January, before God and our family, we vowed to do this thing called life together. To be honest, it’s easy to get lost in the limelight; so we definitely have a slightly obsessive desire for a private life that belongs to just us.
“We planned on sharing a little bit of the beginning of our forever with you. Thankfully my team got Kudus on our little Island with us to capture some of these moments for you.”Here is ‘Promise’.”
