ACSPN Announces Book Launch In Honour Of Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye

A book, “Journalism, Communication and Society”, edited by Prof. Umaru Pate, President, the Association of Communication Scholars & Professionals of Nigeria (ACSPN) and Vice-Chancellor, Federal University, Kashere, will be launched on Friday, April 9, 2021.

A statement signed by Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie, General Secretary, ACSPN & Vice Chancellor, Caleb University, said the book launch was planned in honour of the former Head, Department of Mass Communication, University of Lagos, current Council Member representing Africa at the World Journalism Education Congress, and Member, Advisory Group, ACSPN, Prof. Ralph Afolabi Akinfeleye.

The launch scheduled to hold at the Committee of Vice-Chancellor’s Function Hall, 4, Parakou Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, is organised by the Ralph Akinfeleye Media Initiative, the statement said.

The event will be chaired by Information and Culture Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, while the Founder, DAAR Communication, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, is the Chief Launcher.

Other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, as Special Guest of Honour, former Governor Olusegun Osoba, as Father of the Day, Prof. Armstrong Idachaba, acting Director-General, National Broadcasting Commission, as Book Reviewer, Mr. Olagunju Idowu, Secretary-General, Nigeria National Commission for UNESCO, as Book Presenter, among other special guests.

According to the release, ACSPN felicitates with Prof. Akinfeleye on the special celebration.
