Navy Destroys Five Illegal Refineries In Rivers, Recovers Stolen Oil

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has extended the three-day dusk to dawn curfew he imposed on Aba to Friday.
Ikpeazu made this known in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Enyinnaya Appolos.
The governor had on Tuesday declared a three day dusk to dawn curfew in Aba, in order to stem the tide of insecurity.
The curfew is from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
The governor advised the people of the state to cooperate with security agents to ensure the maintenance of law and order.
Expressing displeasure over the directive by security agents that people should raise their hands while passing through security checkpoints, the governor appealed to them (security agents) to be civil in their approach.
