Mr. Anthony Uga, Sector Commander of FRSC in Ogun, confirmed the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota.

He said the accident, which happened at about 7:10 a.m, involved two trucks and a tricycle.
These are a Sino truck with registration number FST 926 YA, an Howo truck marked GSW 180 XA and a Bajaj tricycle with registration number KLE 876 KT.

The sector commander said seven persons were involved in the crash, with one person dead, while six others sustained various degrees of injuries.

Uga, however, blamed the crash on mechanical deficiency and excessive speeding on the part of the Howo truck.

“The Howo truck hit the Sino truck and tricycle from behind, with both vehicles traveling in the same direction.

“Unfortunately, the deceased victim as a pedestrian and the corpse has been handed over to the family, while the survivors were taken to the General Hospital for treatment,” he said.(NAN)
